Telescopic BMU Installation
ZARAFA TEAM INSTALL A TELESCOPIC BMU TO MANCHESTER SKYLINE
The Zarafa team in Manchester recently completed the installation of a BMU system on Affinity Living Manchester.
The major design requirement was for the machine to be hidden away from view when not in use, which resulted in a 20m 3-stage Telescopic Jib and Scissor Luffing to bring the parked height below 3m. When in use the machine is able to access all parts of the facade and also be used to assist with glass replacement if the requirement arises. The system incorporated a 400kg Glass Replacement Unit.
Our UK design team worked closely with the Sky Climber team and on completion of the manufacturing the machine was shipped directly to site from the factory in Spain. Once on site our locally based engineering team carried out the installation and commissioning, alongside a third party insurance inspector to ensure full handover could be achieved with the end client.
