Cathedral Access System

DESIGN AND INSTALL PERMANENT CRADLE ACCESS SYSTEM

The Zarafa team have designed and installed a bespoke access system for Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral. Two self-powered cradles are suspended from a rail around the top of the Cathedral, providing access to the stunning stained glass windows and roof space. The platforms are guided vertically by an anchored wire rope guidance system with a bespoke restraint system on the inclined building supports.

This replaced a manual system and series of ladders, making maintenance of the internal façade much easier for the operator.
